Everyday when we go online and share pictures, thoughts, interesting articles and personal updates we are creating an image of ourselves. We present this image of ourselves from a distance, and from a cyber-distance we also perceive other people and believe this is who they 'really' are.
Yet, how aware are we of this virtual, 'networked' self?
Do we acknowledge what selective portions of our lives we share with others online? Are we aware of the picture we are creating of ourselves for others?
Do we also acknowledge that the perception we have of other people's lives is also similarly made up of highly selective bits of their whole picture?
